Pets Welcomed in Petoskey

Petosky, MI – Becky Goodman is one of many who consider pets — particularly dogs — good for business.

Goodman, who has a dog of her own, says Petoskey is a pet-friendly city and often sees water bowls outside of businesses if pets want a drink.

“They increase the customers,” said Goodman, downtown director of Petoskey. “If I have my dog and I can’t take him in (the store), I won’t go in. There have been reports where dogs have been left in cars in the summer and died due to the heat.”
