Dianne Hennessy opened Da Swamp Shack in October. It is a gift shop selling Southern novelty items, candles, jewelry and local art next to her steak and seafood restaurant, Dempsey”s, on Kiln-DeLisle Road.
“I opened the shop so locals and tourists who are waiting for a table can shop while they wait,” Hennessy said.
