Bobbo Incorporated Sold to Songbird Essentials

Songbird Essentials is happy to announce the purchase of Bobbo Incorporated. Bobbo and Songbird have been working closely for the last three years toward a seamless transition. Bob Johnson the president of Bobbo said, “Songbird is a trusted friend that shares the same values as Bobbo. This isn’t like an outsider coming in and taking over. It feels good passing on Bobbo’s legacy I’ve spent 35 years building to a company that will take our niche business and share it with a larger audience. Bobbo’s customers can look forward to the same caring customer service they have always experienced.”

Mel Toellner, President of Songbird Essentials commented, “We, like Bobbo’s, have built our business providing quality, unique products. Our goal is to continue to build a line of products that are not sold via nationwide discounters like Lowes, Home Depot, and WalMart. We believe Bobbo’s bird houses and feeders, thermometers, chimes, and other products can be great items for many of the retailers we service.”

Many of you who are familiar with Bobbo might be curious to know what Bob Johnson and Michele Raty have planned for their future. We’re guessing you’ll find Bob spending more time in Bali and continuing to help Songbird Essentials develop new product. Michele Raty, a Bobbo associate for over 22 years, will be assisting in the transition. Afterwards, she is looking forward to a well-deserved vacation before relaunching her career.
