Peterson Associates, a 52 year old Midwest based manufacturers representative sales/marketing agency, has announced its intent to exit The Merchandise Mart in Chicago at the conclusion of the January 2014 Chicago Gift Market (Jan 16-22, 2014). The company also announced it will participate in the newly formed Windy City Gift Show in Rosemont, IL (Jan 18-21, 2014) alongside its vendor partner Midwest/CBK….with a broader representation of their other vendor partners to be more fully executed in July 2014. In addition to these shows, Peterson Associates will make extensive use of the markets in Atlanta, Dallas, and Las Vegas throughout the year.

It has been a rewarding and mutually beneficial relationship…and we will miss being part of this show in the heart of the great City of Chicago. We have great memories of the good times we shared with our customers in the Mart and are grateful for the relationships that were formed there. However, times change, and the market here has changed too. We will maintain a Chicago office…but, needless to say, we will go where our customers are going. Whether that means Atlanta, Dallas, Las Vegas…or in their store…we will do whatever is necessary to stay in front of our customer.
