Yarn Shop Brings Knitters Together in Downtown Barrington

Barrington, IL – Gene Ann’s Yarns, a cozy and colorful shop in downtown Barrington, has become a haven for knitters and crocheters.
“Knitting is what you call destination shopping and I get people from all over,” said Gene Ann Alberts, who opened the store at 117 East Station St. in 1996. “Knitters and crocheters are a strange breed. We will ferret out yarn shops where ever we go.”
The North Barrington resident and Tower Lakes native sells all types and colors of yarn.
