Valparaiso, IN – Linda Weber originally opened Urban Soles because she disliked having to drive into Chicago to buy the type of shoes she wanted.
Weber, of Michigan City, first went into the retail business after driving to a consignment shop in Chicago.
“I said to myself, ‘Why isn’t there one in Michigan City?’” said Weber, who originally hailed from Oak Park, Ill., and worked in the financial markets.
