Lucerne Valley, CA – More than five decades after operating the town’s first phone messaging service, Barbara Veale has answered the call of entrepreneurship.
“This is something I wanted to do for a long time,” said Veale, who recently turned 75. “The time’s come. I’m going to open a store.”
Several weeks ago, Veale opened Barbara Veale’s Country Cottage Boutique. The shop features handcrafted items such as jewelry, quilts, aprons, dolls, paintings and ceramics.
