Widowed Mom Opens Country Decor Shop on U.S. 29

Culpeper, VA – Widowed mother-of-five Tammy Rutherford aims to turn tragedy into creativity with the opening of a new home decor shop on U.S. 29 in Culpeper County. The Rixeyville resident unexpectedly lost her husband, Ricky, seven months ago, and is now embarking on a new journey as owner of T&R Country Living, located behind Blue Ridge Animal Hospital.
Though a bit off the beaten path, Tammy knew it was the place for her.
“After Ricky had passed away, and I made the decision to open the shop, we were over here cleaning up, blowing leaves away, when we uncovered a garden plaque,” she said.
