Turning a Home into a Boutique

Meriden, CT – If The Gift Box boutique in South Meriden looks like someone’s home, that’s because it is. Until March, the first-floor gift shop had been Dorothy DiBenedetto’s living room and spare bedroom.
“There’s something here for everyone. It’s right on the way, whether you’re going to the mall or to Wallingford,” DiBenedetto said Thursday.
The shop at 131 Main St. opened on July 14. Business has been good so far, she said.
