Brandon, SD – A handwritten sign in the window of Doug Metcalf’s building on Cedar Street turned out to be just the sign Amanda Christopherson was looking for.
“Doug had a sign in the window that said, ‘Wanted: Coffee shop or women’s clothing store,’ so I thought, hey, maybe that’s my calling … that’s where I belong,” said Christopherson, 29, who last month opened the doors to the city’s only business dedicated to women’s clothing, Beautique Boutique. “I think I told Doug that I wanted it in October and we were open Nov. 15, so it all came together very fast.”
Metcalf is elated with his new tenant.
