IMC’s Spring 2022 TrendWatch explores consumers’ “State of Mind”
International Market Centers (IMC) explores the impact of consumers’ “State of Mind” on home furnishings in its Spring 2022 High Point Market TrendWatch with three all-new trends: Elation, Growth and Synthesis. Buyers can discover these connected trends via IMC’s High Point Market exhibitors in vignettes presented at the April 2-6, 2022 market and in an image-rich pre-market webinar and immersive at-market event and tour.
“Great design encourages people to reflect on the atmosphere of its creation,” explained Dorothy Belshaw, executive vice president, chief customer and marketing officer for IMC. “The Spring 2022 TrendWatch allows market attendees to source products that will resonate with customers by exploring, amplifying and validating consumers’ current states of mind.”
For the first time, TrendWatch explores how disparate trends in the marketplace can ultimately relate via the macro influences that inform them. TrendWatch curator, Julie Smith Vincenti, a design expert with 25 years of experience in magazine editing and home furnishings trends forecasting, explained: “’State of Mind’ is a three-part story of desire, invention and renewal, examining consumers preferences, new expectations and shifting priorities shaped by a unique moment in world history.”
