The decade’s first Color of the Year has been announced, and with Classic Blue, Pantone presents a resilient tone to take on the new era’s myriad challenges. “People are seeking respite from all the turmoil in today’s world,” Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Institute, told me in an exclusive interview. “Blue has long been a consumer favorite as it represents a reassuring presence, especially in this kind of tranquil twilight shade.”
