Fresh Picks: The Color Cure

Ubiquitous color palettes reflect the current mood, especially during divisive times. Thus the saturated tones in vibrant colorways seem to all vie for attention, despite being tempered with navies and blacks. It’s especially apparent in three dimensions — like this finished Zinnia Blooms Embroidery Kit from Antiquaria. Expect more monochromatic presentations this year; although I’ve highlighted the blues, look out for more tones getting that treatment. Meanwhile, there’s no greater contrast than black and white. Sometimes it’s tempered with neutrals or metallics, but somehow this evergreen combo remains eternally contradictory and charming.
