‘Cash Mobs’ on Tap to Promote Shopping Local

Bradford, PA – A group of “mobsters” will soon storm Bradford area businesses with cash or plastic in hand, looking to stimulate the local economy.

The Bradford Area Chamber of Commerce is organizing a cash mob, where participants would be asked to spend at least $20 on that chamber of commerce member business. People won’t know the identity of the business until the day of event.

“We talk a lot about shop locally,” said Kara Kennedy, event coordinator at the Bradford Area Chamber of Commerce. “And this is a tangible way to make that happen.”
