Christmas Uncorked Ready to Be a Destination

Owego, NY – There is a bright new star amongst the cluster of specialty shops in historic downtown Owego, N.Y. Located at 40 Lake St., Christmas Uncorked is a fun and interesting store filled with a variety of wine accessories, Christmas merchandise and home decor.

Don’t let the business name, Christmas Uncorked, sway you to think that it’s only a store for holiday shopping. The new establishment is a shop featuring unique and whimsical merchandise for every season. Christmas Uncorked officially opened on Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, just in time for Owego’s Lights on the River celebration.

“We want to be a destination,” explained co-owners Jodie Gibson and Darcy Wills. Not only do they want to be known for offering unique merchandise, but they also want customers to remember their store as a place where a personal memory was made. Gibson and Wills hope that Christmas Uncorked will soon evolve into a gathering place for family and friends, as well as a link for customers to participate in exciting events. Plans are underway for wine, cheese and chocolate tastings, artist visits featuring wine glass decorating parties, girl’s night out gatherings, and bridal parties.
