For The Bee Man, New Store is All the Buzz

Canastota, NY – Brian Howell wants to inspire development in downtown Canastota — one smokeless, dripless, scentless beeswax candle at a time.

Less than a year after opening a store on Canal Street, Howell is moving the retail and educational portion of his business, The Bee Man Candle Company, to Peterboro Street, which connects Route 5 to the Thruway and serves as the village’s main thoroughfare.

Candles still will be made at the 4,000-square-foot manufacturing space on Canal Street, he said.
