Kiddie Kouture: Stylish Children’s Boutique

Philadelphia, PA – Spring Has Arrived at New Boutique on Girard Avenue!

If you’re still going to big-box stores to outfit your kids for birthdays, holidays, and special events, it’s time for a change. Though those stores may be cheap, do you really want to spend hours digging through piles of merchandise just to find the same old stuff? Whether you have a special occasion coming up or just a fashion-conscious little one, Kiddie Kouture on Girard Avenue is the place to shop.

For owner Maria Rodriguez, it was when she had her now-5-year-old daughter that she was inspired to create a stylish children’s boutique. “I’ve always been into fashion, and once I had her, it just took off. I love dressing her up.” Driving down Girard Avenue, though, she noticed that there weren’t many children’s stores. “I’m from South Philadelphia, where there’s tons of boutiques, so I thought it would be a good idea to put a store of distinctive children’s clothing here instead.” Maria had also noticed that many children’s stores only sell things for girls, so she made sure to include a selection of cool boys’ clothes that stand out from what you might find at a run-of-the-mill department store. “I like to carry some edgy stuff and some basics,” says Maria. She’s even going to be carrying an organic brand for environmentally conscious parents soon.
