Pish Posh Expanding to Downtown

Midland, MI – Owner Lyndsey Bennett had her eye on a downtown Midland location for Pish Posh Baby Boutique. So, when space opened up, she jumped at the opportunity to move into a larger location at 133 E. Main St., space formerly occupied by Losey’s Jewelry.

“I always wanted to be downtown, but the opportunity wasn’t there,” said Bennett. “It’s a great location and I like all the fun events happening downtown.”

Open since September 2011 in the Circle Plaza, the business carries apparel, furniture, toys and gifts for babies.

An-tartan-tic: Scottish Goods “Most Popular” in South Pole Gift Shop

Port Lockroy, Antarctic – TARTAN has emerged as the most popular souvenir among international visitors to the world’s most remote gift shop.

Around one in ten visitors to Port Lockroy, on the Antarctic Peninsula, buys a Scottish-themed product, beating fridge magnets, T-shirts and bone china mugs to the top spot.

The world’s most southerly shop welcomes around 15,000 cruise ship passengers every year and sells souvenirs from cuddly toys, badges, books and crockery.

Dandelions: Lisa Pritchett’s Funky Shop is Blooming

Muncie, IN – As a successful businesswoman, Lisa Pritchett has been cultivating Dandelions for years now.

That’s the gift and flower shop, by the way, not the weed.

Having earlier bought the longtime florist business run by her parents, Gordon and Malvia Miller, she moved it downtown to Walnut Street from The Village eight years ago, feeling that its original location was no longer a good draw for her clientele.

“I just knew that the downtown was going through a revitalization,” Pritchett said. “We’re really happy to be down here.”

Perch Home Expands to South Orange

South Orange, NJ – South Orange residents who are fans of Maplewood’s acclaimed gift and home store, Perch Home, now have access to the shop’s merchandise closer to home.

Perch owner Michele Bessey has teamed up with Chris and Emma Magenta, owners of South Mountain Yoga, to bring a satellite Perch shop to the yoga studio.

Edie Bees Lands in Lewes

Cash Mob to Stop at Polka Dot Pandas

Port Huron, MI – Polka Dot Pandas will be mobbed Saturday — in a good way.

The store at 201 Huron Ave. is the first site of the Blue Water Community Alliance’s cash mob.

Wendy Joblon, Folia’s owner, is an experienced wedding and event planner. Stepping into the invitation business seemed natural.
