Akron General Reopens Gift Shop Under New Management
Akron, OH – Akron General Medical Center officially reopened its Petite Bazaar gift shop on Monday under a new management contract with a national firm.
The gift shop remains a project of the Akron General Women’s Board, a group of volunteers that raise money for the nonprofit hospital.
But rather than continuing to have its volunteers manage the gift shop and buy the merchandise, the board opted to contract with Lori’s Gifts, a national firm based in Texas that manages 272 hospital gift shops nationwide.

Clothing Boutique Moving to Larger Space
Tyler, TX – After 26 years in business, Diane Bunker is moving her retail store Spin Out.
Construction on the two-story building began Labor Day weekend, and the store will open at 6277 Old Jacksonville Highway on Feb. 14.
Mrs. Bunker, 62, bought the land, in Swann’s Plaza, and is building her own two-story building. After 26 years of paying rent, she wanted to buy something and have equity, she said.
Unique Quilt and Gift Shop Opens up in Roscoe
Roscoe, WI – “It’s kind of a unique shop. It just offers a lot of neat stuff.”
That’s how owner Julie Kuhn describes her new shop, Julieanne’s Quilt Shoppe and Sweet Things Gift Shoppe. Kuhn’s store, which opened on Jan. 3, offers Kuhn’s services for stitching quilts together as well as offering fabric, decorative ornaments, restored furniture, and more.
Kuhn has offered her quilting services for eight years and has had a store in Rockton since 1991. But recently, Kuhn decided to leave her job as an Administrative Assistant at NorthPointe to focus on her new adventure.
