Variety Adds Spice to Tekamah Shop

Tekamah, NE – It was just one of those mornings.

Susie Wissmann was waiting on customers at her multi-faceted business.

That day, six women were seated around a table waiting for coffee and sweet rolls. A man had called, saying he’d forgotten that it was his wife’s birthday and needed a gift. Another man was at the counter wanting an anniversary present for his spouse.

It could have been an ordinary day at Master’s Hand Candle Co. & Gift Shop in Tekamah.

A Frame Above and The Hodge Podge Shop in Jackson Expanding, Moving

Jackson, MI – A custom framing and gift shop and a women’s resale clothing store are moving and expanding their businesses downtown next month.

A Frame Above, 120 E. Cortland St., will be moving to 135 S. Mechanic St., which will soon be The Hodge Podge Shop’s former location.

Wendy Clifton, owner of A Frame Above, said her store has outgrown its space. The new storefront will have 30 more feet of space in the showroom and 20 more feet of space for the framing room, she said.

“I’m so excited about this move,” Clifton said.

Bacup-based Company Plans Move to David Goldie Shop on Skipton High Street

Skipton, UK – A “unique” shopping experience specialising in Russian and Eastern European teas, cakes and gifts could be setting up in one of Skipton’s most established shops.

Bacup-based The Russian Tea Rooms Ltd claims Skipton is ideal for its expanding business which aims to serve exotic tea, pastries and gifts to visitors.

And it is hoping to open up in the former David Goldie’s outdoor clothing shop at the top of the High Street which closed last month after 35 years.

Arizona Retail Sales Swell 7.5%

Phoenix, AZ – Arizona retail sales grew 7.5 percent in June compared with a year earlier, with growth strongest among motor-vehicle dealers, the Arizona Department of Revenue reported.

Overall sales rose to $3.8 billion, with growth reported across a variety of categories.
