Freedom Plains, NY – Crystal’s Closet, a small homey shop off busy Route 55, has found a way to survive and strive in a competitive economy, its owner says, while also continuing to adapt and please customers.

Crystal’s Closet started in 2002 in the Town of LaGrange as a small consignment shop when the owner, Crystal Bayer, came up with the idea after realizing that multiple items in her closet had only been worn once.

A couple of years later, she branched out and became a women’s boutique with a current inventory of about 75 percent new products, and only about 25 percent consignment.
