Store’s Goal: Keep Fashion in Fairbanks

Fairbanks, AK – In a city where clothing options are mostly limited to big-box retailers, outdoor outfitters and grocery stores, it can be hard to stand out.
That’s why Adrienne McGee, a 30-year-old Fairbanks native, opened Rock Valley Boutique, a clothing store in downtown Fairbanks aimed at bringing unique, fashionable women’s clothes to the Interior.
“I don’t buy clothes somewhere I can buy milk,” she said, sitting in a comfy leather chair in the minimalist store.
