To try and spread the word about the different stores in Zimmerman, District 5 County Commissioner Rachel Leonard organized a shopping excursion.

On Thursday, July 24, a group of six women, who normally meet for weekly coffee, decided to take a walking/driving tour of six different shops in the Main Street of Zimmerman area. Each shop also had a raffle drawing and treats offered.

Stacey McDevitt, the owner of Ramshackled Gifts said businesses are trying to let everyone know there’s a group of women-oriented shops, all of which that are in walking distance of each other in Zimmerman.

The campaign is called “The Secret it Out, Shop Zimmerman.”

Millie Evans, a Zimmerman resident said she does shop in the area, but doesn’t normally go into each store in one day. The first stop along the tour was Art Reflections, a framing business that sells art from Minnesota artists, candles, infusion lamps and pottery.
