Dammit Doll, Novelty Anger-Release Tool, is One Hot Item Around the Country
Got anger and feel like slamming something against the wall? Or perhaps you’re just expressing a light, quirky sense of humor? Either way, the Dammit Doll, a 12-inch, stuffed fabric doll marketed as a novelty anger-release tool, is one hot item around the country that has been flying off the shelves of a few Naples retailers recently. Local merchants such as Bruno, Exquisite Gift Shop and the Paper Merchant are stocking up again in the hopes that the trend will continue.
But why is this little stuffed “person” so popular?

Petoskey, MI – A photo of President Barack Obama tapping his finger on a Petoskey stone while speaking on the phone went viral this week after the White House photographer sent the image out in a Tweet.
That created a buzz all over the Internet about the stone: where was it from?
TV 7&4 asked viewers on the station’s Facebook page if they knew anything about it. Within 5 minutes of that the phone rang. It was John Bessette Sr., a lapidarian, a person who works with stones and gems, at Bailey’s Place in Petoskey.

The Sharon chocolate shop which specializes in hand made chocolates with the finest of ingredients opened in 1981 in Chestnut Hill. In 2004 the shop moved to Sharon and is run by Karen Schwab and her daughter Jill Schwab.

Canton, CT – Area residents will soon have a local source for custom-made Amish furniture and more at a new a Collinsville business.
Over the past several days, Greg Wasoka and Kellee Abramczyk have been hard at work inside 100B Main St., Collinsville, preparing for the opening of America the Beautiful Country Store.
The shop will feature Amish-made furniture, linens, tinware, curtains, candle and home decor, nearly all of which is made in America, Wasoka said.

New Pacific Direct Expands Las Vegas Market Showroom
Dining, bedroom and accent furniture importer New Pacific Direct is expanding its showroom for the Las Vegas Market taking place Jan. 28 to Feb. 1.
The company is adding 1,600 square feet to its showroom in space A-919, bringing its total size to 3,600 square feet.
“We are expanding so that we can show our West Coast-based customers a wider range of product,” said Henry Limarta, CEO of the 12-year-old company. “We expect 2013 to be a better year for our industry now that the election is over.
