Dallas Market Center Increases Houseware Offerings

Dallas Market Center today announced that its houseware offerings have increased for the upcoming Dallas Total Home & Gift Market (June 20-26) due to the expansion of two key showrooms—The McLendon Company and Source One Marketing—and the addition of Table & Houseware FINDS, a new temporary category to the FINDS Dallas Temp Show (June 21-24; staggered opening and closing dates).

“Houseware products are currently a major industry focus and we are pleased to provide these important resources to our buyers,” said Cindy Morris, COO, Dallas Market Center.

Blue Orange Games Wins 3 Top Industry Awards

It’s been a big year for Blue Orange Games. After 12 years of business, the classic game company based in San Francisco has been recognized as the preferred vendor by the industry’s leading retailers.

Founded by Julien Mayot and Thierry Denoual in 2000, the company began with just one game, Gobblet, which Julien sold out of his Jeep during a three month road trip across the country. This approach has come to define Blue Orange, as their annual road trip creates strong relationships with their retailers and puts a face to the company.

Personally Yours to Move, Expand at NewMarket Square

Wichita, KS – When Have You Heard? last checked in with Personally Yours owner Linda Webb, she was making what she called “the big move” from 21st and Tyler to NewMarket Square at 21st and Maize Road.

More recently, Webb says she had to make a choice: Either expand the shop or retire.

“We are expanding,” she says.

Her store, which Webb describes as a ladies and babies gift boutique featuring custom embroidery, is jumping from 1,260 square feet to 2,300 square feet.

SOCIAL media is helping businesses boost their bottom line as they build new customer relationships and market their products and services.

Research by American Express shows 72 per cent of Australian business owners have embraced social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter.

The greatest benefit is building relationships with customers, say 55 per cent of them.

Social media is also helping generate new leads (52 per cent), market products and services (50 per cent) and respond to customer inquiries (32 per cent).
